Measure what it actually does
Vent temperature and both system pressures are recorded first. A system that is 4°C low has a different fault from one that is 15°C low.
Find the leak
Refrigerant does not get used up. If it is low, it left somewhere, and we find where before we put more in.
Repair and evacuate
The failed part is replaced, the system pulled to a deep vacuum and held to prove it is sealed.
Recharge to weight
Gas and oil go back in by weight to the figure for your Patrol's system, not by gauge pressure and feel.

What decides the price
Whether the system is losing gas and where from. A condenser sitting behind the Patrol's grille, sandblasted by Dubai dust and desert runs, is a common and moderate job. A compressor is the expensive end, and an evaporator is the expensive end plus a day of labour because of what has to come out to reach it — and a Patrol with rear air conditioning has more pipework and more places to leak. The pressure test tells us which you have before anyone quotes.

Why is my Nissan Patrol AC not cold?
In order of how often we see it: a slow leak that has dropped the charge, a condenser packed solid with dust and sand, a failed compressor clutch, and a blend door actuator stuck on the hot side. Only the first is fixed by adding gas.
How often should a Patrol's AC be regassed?
A healthy system never needs it. Checking the charge every two years is sensible in this climate. If your Patrol needs gas annually, it has a leak and topping it up is renting the problem.
How much is Patrol AC repair in Dubai?
