How the job runs
Find it properly
Soapy water over the whole tread, the sidewall and the valve. More than one puncture is common after a desert or site track.
Judge repairability
Tread area, under 6 mm, not previously repaired at the same spot. Anything else and a repair is not safe at 120 km/h.
Patch from the inside
The tyre comes off the rim. An external plug alone leaves the belt exposed to water and it fails later, usually at speed.
Balance and set
Rebalanced, refitted, torqued to spec and all four pressures set.
What decides the price
Whether the tyre can be repaired at all. A clean tread puncture is a plug-and-patch from the inside and is the cheapest job on this list, even on a tyre the size a Patrol wears. A sidewall cut, a tyre driven on flat under the weight of a Patrol, or one damaged by running at low pressure in the sand and back onto the road cannot be repaired safely at any price, and we will say so rather than sell you a repair that fails at speed on the E11.
Questions people ask first
Can every Patrol tyre puncture be repaired?
No. Tread punctures under 6 mm can be repaired. Sidewall damage, shoulder damage and a tyre that has been run flat cannot be, and we will not patch one and call it safe on a vehicle this heavy.
How much is a Patrol tyre puncture repair in Dubai?
It is a fixed job done at your location, including removing the tyre from the rim and rebalancing, and it is quoted before the van is dispatched.
Can you come to me?
Yes, anywhere in Dubai. If the tyre is beyond repair we can bring a matching replacement on the same visit if you tell us the size on the sidewall when you call.
My tyre lost air after a desert drive. Is it punctured?
Not always. Sand packed between the bead and the rim at low pressure causes a slow leak with no hole. We break the bead, clean the seat and reseal it; a correctly fitted patch-plug, where one is needed, lasts the life of the tyre.
